Natalie Portman - Original Polaroid by Dewey Nicks
Backstory by Dewey
15 years old and we all knew we were in the presence of a huge talent. Everyone loved working with her. This picture was taken at 11:00pm in a little diner on 9th Avenue in NYC’s Hell’s Kitchen after a long day of shooting a campaign which launched a new line designed by Isaac Mizrahi. The great cinematographer Lance Accord was shooting 16mm film while I photographed. We lit this with an open 200-watt PAR lamp and no light diffusion or silks needed.
